Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AstroConnect is operated by TECHTENSTEIN SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED, K.B Layout, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh 517501, India. It runs the AstroConnect app (Google Play and Galaxy Store) and the astroconnect.app website, which are offered to users worldwide. 2. Information we collect

• Account details: the email address or phone number you sign in with, your name if you add it, and an account ID. One-time sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form and expire after five minutes.
• Birth details: name, date, time and place of birth and gender that you enter for readings. For compatibility matching you may also enter another person's birth details, which you may only do with their permission.
• Purchase history: credit packs you buy, store receipt references (stored as a hash), your credit balance and ledger, and records of paid readings and replies. We never receive your card or bank details.
• AI chat content: the messages you send to AI guides and their replies, kept as your chat history. Your birth profile is shared with the AI only if you choose to share it.
• AI consent record: your acceptance of the AI notice and the adult birth date you confirm with it.
• Support messages: what you send through the contact form or by email, with the name and phone number on your account.
• AI reply reports: the reply you report and the reason you choose.
• Push token (only if push notifications are enabled): a device subscription ID used to deliver notifications. We do not attach your name, email or phone to it.

We do not read your device location, contacts, SMS, files or advertising ID. Places of birth are typed by you and matched to a city.

3. How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your account secure, including rate limits and fraud prevention.
• To calculate the astrology readings you ask for and to produce AI guide replies.
• To sell and record credit packs, settle paid requests, and handle refunds and payment disputes.
• To answer support requests and review reported AI replies so we can improve safety filters.
• To send notifications you have allowed.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

5. Service providers

These companies process data only to provide the service for us:

• Hostinger: website and API hosting, and the email that delivers sign-in codes and support replies.
• Anthropic (Claude API): generates AI guide replies from your chat messages, and your birth profile if you choose to share it.
• Prokerala: astrology calculations from birth date, time and place coordinates. Your name, email and phone are not sent.
• Google Play Billing and Samsung In-App Purchase: in-app credit purchases and receipt verification.
• Razorpay: credit purchases on the website, when website payments are available.
• An SMS delivery provider: sign-in codes for phone sign-in, when it is available.
• OneSignal: push notifications, only if they are enabled.
• Google Fonts: the website loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

6. What we do not do

We do not show ads, we do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. The app has no advertising or analytics SDK.

7. Cookies and browser storage

The website uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security token that protects forms. The shop cart, where shown, is saved in your browser's local storage. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

8. How long we keep data

• Account, birth details, chat history and consent records: until you delete your account.
• Routine server logs: deleted automatically, normally after 14 days.
• Financial and transaction records (credit purchases, balance and ledger entries, paid requests and refunds) are kept permanently for accounting, tax and dispute purposes. When you delete your account, they are kept only in pseudonymised form: a minimal record (amounts, balance and ledger entries, a receipt hash and linked paid-request records) under a random ID, no longer linked to your name, phone or email.

9. Security

Data travels over HTTPS. Sign-in codes and store receipts are stored only as hashes, and access to the admin area is restricted. No system is completely secure, so tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account.

10. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

• Access and export: sign in and open Account privacy to download a copy of your account data as a JSON file.
• Correct: edit your profile and birth details in the app or on the website, or ask us to correct anything else.
• Delete: in the app open Account → Delete My Account, use Account privacy on the website, or follow how to delete your account. Financial records are then kept only in pseudonymised form, as described in section 8.
• Object or withdraw consent: withdraw your AI consent in the app at any time (AI chat then stops for your account), turn off notifications in your device settings, or email us to object to any other use of your data.
• Complain: email contact@astroconnect.app, or complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work.

We may ask you to confirm that you own the account before acting on a request. The law where you live may give you further rights.

International transfers: AstroConnect is operated from India and offered worldwide. Our service providers, including Anthropic and Hostinger, may process your data outside your country, where data-protection laws may differ from yours. Each provider receives only the data it needs for its part of the service.

11. Adults only

AstroConnect is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the account.

12. Grievance contact

Grievance contact: Grievance Team, contact@astroconnect.app. This includes grievances under India's IT Rules 2021 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receipt.
