This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable Indian laws. It describes our practices for the handling of your sensitive personal data and information.
By using Astroconnect, you expressly agree to this Privacy Policy, including the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with it. If you do not agree with the policy, please do not use our platform.
Mandatory details: Phone number (for registration and security via OTP), first name;
Optional details: Last name, date of birth, gender, place of birth, profile image (for personalized predictions);
Usage Data & Device Info: Device identifiers, IP address, app usage analytics, log files, cookies, browser type, geographical information, and session cookies;
Payment Data: Secure information required for payment processing, handled by third-party payment gateways - Astroconnect does not store your card or netbanking details;
Audio and Video Permissions: If you use features like voice messages or video calls within the app, we may request access to your device microphone/camera strictly for feature functioning;
Feedback and Public Content: Content you provide (reviews, feedback, comments) may be visible to other users.
To enable registration, secure your account, and facilitate personalized astrological recommendations;
To connect you with astrologers using anonymized contact mechanisms (your phone number is not disclosed to astrologers);
To process payments or deliver services/transcriptions securely;
To improve and personalize your platform experience using aggregated analytics;
To provide customer support, comply with legal requirements, and prevent misuse.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Your details may be shared only with authorized astrologers, service partners, or regulators for the legitimate delivery of services or compliance purposes. All advertising and promotional materials adhere to the ASCI and Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and accurate disclaimers are provided regarding predictions.
Information may be shared with law enforcement if required by law or to protect safety and rights.
Users have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data through the app or by contacting contact@astroconnect.app.
You may withdraw consent (partly or fully) for data processing, or request access to data processors/third parties where data is shared, unless required to retain for regulatory reasons.
Requested deletions or changes will be processed promptly, except where data retention is required by law.
When using voice recording or video call features, microphone and camera permissions are requested only to facilitate your interactions with astrologers. Recordings are securely stored and deleted after a reasonable period unless needed for legal obligations.
We follow industry-standard security practices, use SSL encryption, and perform regular audits to protect your data.
Card and payment data are collected by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party gateways.
We encourage users to safeguard their log-in information and report any suspected breach immediately.
Personal information is retained as long as necessary for service provision, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or as otherwise required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data through app settings or by contacting us.
Astroconnect is for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use the platform only under parental/guardian guidance. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if discovered, we will delete it promptly.
Information shared in public forums or via public reviews is public and may be read/collected by anyone. Astroconnect is not responsible for privacy practices of third-party sites linked from our app.
This policy may be updated as required. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use of Astroconnect after changes signifies acceptance.
Astroconnect provides astrology and related services for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy or outcomes of predictions. Users must exercise judgment and agree to use the platform at their own discretion. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
