This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how AstroConnect Service Credits work, when and how you can request a refund, and what is non-refundable.

1. What are "Service Credits"?

Your AstroConnect wallet balance is denominated in "Service Credits". Service Credits are not money, e-money, or any form of stored-value instrument and are not classified as a payment instrument under the Reserve Bank of India's Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 or the Master Direction on Prepaid Payment Instruments. Service Credits can only be redeemed for astrology consultations, reports, gemstones, pujas and other services available on AstroConnect, and have no cash equivalent except to the limited refund extent set out below.

2. Two types of Service Credits

  • Real Credits: credits you have personally purchased via a payment gateway. Real Credits are usable for 365 days from the date of purchase, after which any unused balance expires. Within 7 days of purchase, unused Real Credits may be refunded to your original payment method as set out in Section 4 below.
  • Promo Credits / Bonus Credits: credits credited to you as part of a promotion, referral bonus, first-recharge bonus, or compensation. Promo Credits expire 14 days from the date of credit unless a specific shorter validity is shown in the offer. Promo Credits are not refundable for cash under any circumstances.

3. How credits are consumed

When you start a chat, call or video consultation, charges are deducted in real time in 1-minute increments. The system first deducts from Promo Credits (so they don't expire), then from Real Credits.

4. Real Credit refunds

  • Unused balance: Within 7 days of recharge, you may request a refund of the unused Real Credit portion. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7-10 working days (your bank may take additional time).
  • Partial use: If you have used part of the recharge, only the unused portion is refundable, less the actual payment gateway fee (typically 2-3%) that was charged to AstroConnect on the original transaction.
  • After 7 days: Real Credits remain usable on the platform for 365 days from purchase but are no longer refundable as cash. After 365 days they expire.

5. Consultation refunds

We refund consultation charges (returning the Real Credits or, where appropriate, the cash equivalent) in the following situations:

  • Technical failure: If a chat or call disconnects due to platform technical issues and the astrologer cannot complete your consultation, we credit the wallet for the affected minutes. Most cases are auto-detected; if not, raise a ticket within 24 hours.
  • Astrologer no-show: If you book a slot and the astrologer doesn't connect, we refund 100% of the booking fee within 24 hours.
  • Inappropriate behaviour: If an astrologer is verifiably abusive, asks for personal contact off-platform, asks for additional money outside the per-minute rate, promises "guaranteed solutions" or violates our Terms in any other material way, we refund 100% of the consultation and remove the astrologer.

6. What is not refundable

  • Consultations that completed normally — even if you are unhappy with the prediction, the time was spent
  • Pujas, reports and gemstone purchases once the puja is performed / report is delivered / stone is shipped
  • Recharges older than 7 days (balance remains usable on platform for 365 days but not refundable as cash)
  • Promo Credits / Bonus Credits
  • Refund requests raised after 30 days of the transaction date

7. How to request a refund

  1. Open the AstroConnect app or web → My Wallet → Transactions → tap the transaction → "Request refund"
  2. Or email support@astroconnect.app with your registered mobile number, transaction ID and reason
  3. We acknowledge within 24 hours and decide within 7 working days
  4. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within 7-10 working days

8. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us — when our refund process would have addressed the issue — may result in account suspension. We treat unwarranted chargebacks as a violation of our Terms.

9. Disputes

If you are not satisfied with how we handled a refund, escalate to our Grievance Officer via the Grievance Redressal page. Final escalation is to the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or the appropriate consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
